Arthur Sherwood - Director
Art Sherwood is the David Cole Professor of Entrepreneurship in the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University. Dr. Sherwood is the director of Western's IDEA Institute (InterDisciplinary Entrepreneurship in Action), an Affiliated Faculty of the Vincent and Elinor Ostrom Workshop on Political Theory and Political Theory and Policy Analysis and co-founder of the Cooperative Business Research Institute.
Having completed his graduate work at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business with a research focus on cooperative alliances, he now seeks to better understand co-operative entrepreneurship, governance and leadership. His current research also focuses on entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystems and programs that increase access for non-traditional participants. In addition to his academic work, his is an experienced entrepreneur and a member-owner of CDS Consulting Co-op through which he advises and teaches co-operative leaders throughout the United States.

Danica Kilander - Associate Director
With a focus on fun, inspiration and impact, Danica loves to work hard, travel far and dance wildly. As Associate Director of Western’s IDEA Institute, her goal is to provide opportunities to identify dreams and live with even more impact and purpose. A Western alum from Fairhaven College with an interdisciplinary degree in social entrepreneurship, founder of Western’s Social Entrepreneur Society, Camp Laugh-A-Lot and LivLife Today, Danica is excited to share, learn and grow with other trepadors throughout the community. As former Change Leader for Western, she strives to ignite opportunities for collaboration to create even more positive change in the world.

Kristine Baker - Administrative Assistant
Having arriving to Bellingham by way of the Mississippi River Valley, the Colorado Rockies, and the Montana Big Sky, Kristine is thrilled to call Pacific Northwest home. Her background is in elementary education and she has worked with students in a variety of settings, at all levels, and has a special fondness for undergraduates here at Western. Kristine is an MBA student and loves exploring with her daughters in her free time.
